PricePulse is a global price comparison service operated at getpricepulse.app. We help consumers find the best prices for products across multiple retailers and countries.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), PricePulse is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

We do not collect payment card details directly. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) under their own privacy policy.

We use your data only for the purposes stated above. Specifically:

• Email alerts: Your email is used solely to send price drop notifications you explicitly requested. We do not send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.
• Search queries: Queries are passed to our AI and retail search providers to return results. They are not stored permanently and are not linked to your identity.
• Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us improve search quality and fix bugs.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising targeting.

To provide our service we share data with the following trusted third parties, each bound by their own privacy policies:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes your search queries to find retail prices. Privacy policy
• SerpApi — provides Google Shopping and trending search data. Privacy policy
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (price alert confirmations). Privacy policy
• Frankfurter / European Central Bank — provides currency exchange rates. No personal data is shared.
• Supabase — stores price alert subscriptions and price history in a secure, encrypted database hosted in the EU. Privacy policy

We use browser localStorage (similar to cookies) to store:

• pricepulse_consent — records whether you accepted or declined storage. This is strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
• pricepulse_user — your name and email if you sign in. Only stored with your consent.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear browser storage at any time via your browser settings.

• Price alerts: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Price history: Retained for 90 days for trend analysis, then automatically deleted.
• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• Logs: Server logs retained for 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

Under GDPR (if you are in the EEA or UK) and CCPA (if you are in California), you have the following rights:

Some of our third-party providers (Anthropic, SerpApi) are based in the United States. When we transfer your data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

PricePulse is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted database storage, and strict access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email (if you have an account) and by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
